Content Marketing Manager
Located in Santa Monica, CA
Our studioD business ranges from comprehensive content strategy and the creation of original content (articles, videos, original photography, micro-content, social content, infographics, etc.) to the development of custom, fully managed web experiences and distribution through a preferred network.
We’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager to create, execute and lead all content marketing efforts for studioD. This entails both the content creation and marketing execution for our expanding content marketing strategy. You will become the internal content marketing “advocate” by weaving content marketing into our sales processes, events, email drip campaigns, account management, product marketing, site design, etc…
Responsibilities:
Act as Editor-in-Chief of blog:
Build and execute editorial calendar (70% pre-planned to align with marketing priorities and remainder to cover timely events, partner spotlights and industry news/events.)
Use market data to develop content themes and topics that lead to critical behavior metrics
Manage assignments and blog workflow, from ideation to publication
Write/Edit newsletters and blogs to increase traffic and subscribers
Base content strategy and formats on our own best practices – use every format we offer
Develop standards, systems and best practices for studioD content brand voice, creation, distribution and repurposing.
Head up production of all lead-gen content such as eBooks, white papers, etc…
Work with demand generation manager to create and implement content strategy for sales and account management teams.
Oversee team of freelance writers and designers to create content for our blog, partner blogs, syndication opportunities and lead gen content.
Manage and grow existing social media (Twitter and LinkedIn), while launching new social media channels (Facebook, Slideshare, Instagram, etc…).
Optimize content for SEO, including SEO audits and original SEO-driven content.
Conduct quarterly usability tests to gauge content effectiveness. These tests include gap analyses, competitive audits and user surveys.
Work with demand generation manager and business analyst to gather data and oversee analytics for all content marketing efforts, and manage the content marketing budget.
Requirements:
5 years of online marketing or similar experience, Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience with editorial, content creation, social media, marketing and managing online campaigns across multiple networks
Results-oriented, innovative, great attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines
Strong analytical skills to test, measure, refine and report on the impact of marketing programs
Must possess strong work-ethic and solid project management skills
Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills
