The Director, Partner Strategy & Monetization, a key member of the newly formed Content Solutions team, is responsible for managing content platform monetization initiatives and strategy.  The position demands an ambitious, highly motivated self-starter who is interested in building long-term content strategy success.  Core responsibility will be the development and management of market strategy for Content Solutions products and services as positioned and pitched to brands, publishers, retailers, and intermediary partners. Desired candidates will possess diverse backgrounds and demonstrated experience in achieving success within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.  This position reports to the SVP & GM, Partner Content.   Responsibilities:

Own the go-to-market strategy and pitch; constantly analyze trends to anticipate and implement necessary refinements to ensure an effective market presence and accelerate revenue success.
Manage a Business Development Specialist to support the business development team with financial and strategic analysis of all pipeline opportunities, including identification of segment, industry and company opportunities, and on-going delivery of pre-qualified and developed leads.
Continuously review and update all sales tools, including pitch decks, printed materials, the Content Solutions website, rate cards, sizzle reels, and brand questionnaires to ensure consistency and strategy/market alignment; transfer knowledge by managing on-going training of key stakeholders in sales, business development and senior management.
Lead on-going ideation/discussion with internal content production, product, titling, sales marketing and insights teams to continuously evolve and enhance the overall content offering and pitch strategy.
Research new content formats we should invest in; compose testing plans for select formats as identified, including designation of success metrics and post mortem analysis to gauge market potential.
Oversee pricing strategy and competitive analysis, ensuring that deep research of marketplace shifts and trends are understood and communicated while also devising, recommending and implementing necessary adjustments.
Participate in key pitches as necessary, delivering key analysis and insights while assessing potential technology, product and platform gaps.
Partner with internal content production, product, sales marketing and insights teams to define, vet and price inbound content solutions sales opportunities, and build out any associated revenue models per project, to ensure maximum deal profitability.
Support the Account Management team with on-going client check-ins and/or post-mortem to help ensure we capture and act on concerns, understand key takeaways, identify platform strengths and areas of opportunity, and secure best practices.
Manage the development and implementation of all trade marketing plans, including presence at key industry events and conventions.

 Requirements:

A minimum of 7-10 years of business development, trade marketing, account management, or sales experience, preferably within an online media environment.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience in online content production, preferably with an Internet publisher, brand or digital agency.
Experience developing online marketing and/or sales programs.
Client facing experience, both management and pitching, preferred.
Strong public speaking skills; ability to showcase content programs via presentations.
Strong analytical, analysis and/or financial expertise.
Strong PowerPoint skills and Photoshop is a plus.
A passion for ideas and the ability to drive creativity into well executed formats.
The ability to work collaboratively across a large, matrixed organization to drive results.
Keen analytical skills and the ability to drive programs toward business goals.
MBA preferred.
