COMMUNITY RECREATION SPECIALIST
~ ANTICIPATED VACANCY IN SCHOOL PARKS ~
To assist in the planning, organization, and supervision of assigned recreation programs and facilities for the Springfield-Greene County Park Board.
Requires two years of college with an emphasis in Recreation, Physical Education, Park Administration, Outdoor Education or closely related area, or two years of work experience assisting with organizing and conducting recreational activities. Education/experience related to current vacancy is desirable.
Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP), or American Red Cross Aquatic Certification such as WSI, LGI & CPRPR is desirable depending upon current vacancy. If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Subject to working a varied schedule including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
