Statement of Purpose:
Leads Area Coaches (typically 12-14) and other associates in the execution of the company’s strategic objectives (Brand Builders). Participates in the overall development and execution of policy, strategy, and tactics for the Bob Evans Restaurants group.

Ensures the effective implementation of plans and retains the team members necessary to successfully execute the company strategies and tactics. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Communicates with Area Coaches on a regular basis to maintain current knowledge on each areas/restaurants operational issues.
Maintains effective communications to ensure a thorough understanding of important restaurant business issues including new product introductions, capital improvements, customer resolution issues, etc.
Ensures an open door environment is maintained through positive two way communication.
Consistently Drive Sales Growth
Develops and oversees implementation of strategies to ensure region meets company gross sales objectives, company carryout sales objectives and company retail sales objectives.
Ensures local restaurant marketing plans are executed, controlled and measured.
Improve Margins With an Eye on Customer Satisfaction
Develop and coach the Area Coaches to ensure that all restaurant cost control systems are in place and are working effectively to increase cash flow.
Lead the preparation of annual operating budgets for new and existing restaurants within the region and submit for corporate review.
Develop an attitude and concern for profits within the region. Review quarterly financial reports with AC’s to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
Be the Best at Operations Execution
Through Area Coaches, inspects, coaches and follows-up to ensure that all restaurant systems and procedures are executed correctly to administer the business per policy and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
Ensure attainment of established quality assurance and food safety guidelines. Oversee monitoring of operations to ensure consistent achievement of the highest levels of quality, service, and cleanliness across the region.
Increase Returns on Invested Capital
Works with real estate and development, construction, maintenance, finance, and other departments as needed to help ensure that both new and existing units produce a rate of return appropriate for the level of investment.
Additional Duties
Partners with human resources, accounting information systems and other departments’ in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures within the region.
Partners with marketing department to identify and coordinate potential local and regional store marketing opportunities.
Performs other job related duties as may be assigned or required.
Knowledge / Skills
Through knowledge and understanding of restaurant operations
General knowledge of functional support areas, including human resources, training, marketing, finance, and development
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to lead, coach and motivate at upper management levels
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, restaurant management, or related field or equivalent operations experience
7-10 years of restaurant operations experience, including experience managing multi-location operations, 4 years of P&L responsibility; extensive supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
