Position will be located at one of our work site employers. Evaluates the physical condition and advises and treats personnel to maintain maximum physical fitness for participation during daily operations.
Prescribes routine and corrective exercises to strengthen muscles
Develops rehabilative programs
Recommends special diets to build up health.
Massages parts of employees' bodies to relieve soreness, strains and bruises.
Providing ergonomic evaluations.
Renders first aid to injured employees, such as providing CPR, cleaning and bandaging wounds and applying heat and cold to promote healing.
Calls physician for injured persons as required.
Wraps ankles, fingers or wrists of athletes in synthetic skin, protecting gauze and adhesive tape to support muscles and ligaments.
Treats chronic minor injuries and related disabilities to maintain employees' performance.
May give heat and diathermy treatments as prescribed by health services.
Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of athletic training.
Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
Knowledge of use and maintenance of athletic training equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work medical environment.
Skill in developing and maintaining patient care records and writing reports.
Skill in time management, planning and workload control.
Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
Skill in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance and quality control standards.
Good telephone manners and etiquette.
Detail orientation and organization.
Excellent people skills. Ability to get along, motivate and work effectively with others.
Graduate of an accredited Athletic Trainer Program.
Must have at least 3 years athletic trainer experience. Must be able to work independently. Excellent communication skills.
Must have license to practice in the State of or NAPA certified.
