Duties & Responsibilities
This position overs e
es all aspects of faci lities management for a large athletics complex. The comple x has approximately
1 million square feet and includes outdoor fields, swimming pools, indoor sports facilities, fitness rooms, locker rooms, boathouses, the football stadium , office space, an ice skating rink, and parking facilities. You will establish, implement and oversee preventive, planned, and day-to-day mainten ance of our facilities; manage relationships
with vendors who provide custodial and groundskeeping services, including the sol icitation of p
roposals from and ne g
otiation of
contracts with vendors; ensure upkeep and safety of our
facilities; formulate and manage annual and long-range operating
maintenance and capital budgets, including managing an annual operating budget of approximately $6 mill ion; and oversee capital construction and renovation projects with budgets exceeding $1 million.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. At least 8 years' experience in facilities management.
Additional Qualifications
Should have working knowledge of trade operations and general building systems. Previous supervisory experience desired. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to be diplomatic, to negotiate, and build consensus. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Experience with Paradox, Frontpage, and scheduling computer systems preferred. Experience in athletic, academic, hotel or conference center environments preferred. Strong organizational and project management skills needed.
