Overall responsibility is to ensure a positive hospitality golf experience for all members and guests.
The position will directly manage the day to day operations with a focus on public relations, member & guest tournament programs, supervision of the operations staff and merchandising.
Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English and prepare reports of using a complex computer system.
Provide hands on support during peak business times.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 35 lbs.
Must be able to stand/walk 4-6 hours per day.
Talent selection, development, retention, performance management and coaching.
Oversight and ownership of outside golf tournament and groups.
Instruction to guest’s and members.
Must be able to effectively deal with internal & external guests, some of whom will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect factual information and resolve conflict.
Responsible for reinforcement of department and company standards.
Attend department and property meetings.
Pro actively identify potential guest issues.
Perform associate evaluations, provide coaching and development.
Monitors guest satisfaction processes, and responds to guest concerns, and inquiries.
Thorough understanding of the game of golf is required so as to understand the playability of the course.
Successful candidates will have a thorough understanding of the game of golf, including but not limited to; merchandising, current events and trends, teaching, tournament prep, handicaps and equipment. Must have achieved your Class A from the PGA or have completed “Level 2” of the PGA PGM program.

Can play a reasonable round of golf achieving scores in the mid-70’s.

Class A PGA status or competition of Level 2.
