NOTE: This position supervises employees on the second shift at the Scioto Mile, makes assignments, and reviews performance. The position also monitors visitors and activities at the Scioto Mile, helps coordinate programs offered by **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Recreation and Parks Department and other groups, and coordinates schedules, events, and programs.Other duties include performing routine safety inspections, enforcing rules, and answering questions and addressing complaints from the public. The incumbent may help promote programs and events at the Scioto Mile.
THIS POSITION IS FOR SECOND SHIFT.
Possession of a bachelor's degree. Substitution(s): Experience planning, coordinating, or promoting recreation, cultural or performing arts programs, or special events may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Any required college level coursework or degree must have been completed/earned at an accredited college or university whose accreditation agency is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Pre-Employment Drug Screening:

After a conditional offer of employment has been made, and prior to starting employment with the City, applicants will have 24 hours to complete the required drug test. Positive results are considered public under law, and applicants testing positive will be removed from consideration for employment with the City for a period of at least 12 months.

Central Work Rules will be sufficient grounds for disciplinary action, as indicated, depending on the seriousness of the offense in the judgment of supervision representing the appointing authority.
A background investigation, which may include fingerprinting, will be conducted regarding an applicant's work history, police records, and educational background.
