We are currently seeking an Athletic Trainer (ATC) who will assist in providing coverage in regional Rodeo events.\u00a0This individual will work with small town farming and ranching communities in numerous events throughout several states. The Athletic Trainer (ATC) will collaborate as a team with Physicians, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists; to provide exceptional care to athletes. The individual will also provide coverage at non-rodeo events when needed. What you would do in this role: Provide and develop outreach ATC coverage to area Rodeos. Recognize and evaluate athletic injuries and determine injury and treatment protocols. Perform injury management and treatment in emergency situations. Execute Physician\u2019s prescribed treatment regimen using a variety of therapeutic methods, supportive procedures, or other techniques to aid recovery. Help and aid injury prevention by educating the athlete, coach and\/or family members. Establish and maintain organization and administration of all aspects of record keeping. Participate in public speaking opportunities as appropriate. Here\u2019s what makes for an ideal candidate: Current or eligible to obtain Athletic Trainer License in several states including Nebraska. Current BOC Certification, required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire. Successfully pass the Nebraska DOT (Department of Transportation) physical, required. Previous experience or high comfort level driving a truck with a trailer to events. Flexibility to work\/travel night and weekends. Enjoys working with small town farming and ranching, including livestock. Must be self-motivated, self-starter with great interpersonal skills Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment and effectively communicate with customers. Excellent problem solving and listening skills.
