The Program Manager is responsible for driving program execution while ensuring that the program\/project activities meet internal and external customer requirements and follows S&N\u2019s Phase Review Discipline Process, including progress reporting and reviews by senior leadership. The Program Manager is fully responsible and accountable for the programs they manage from Development through Launch. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Lead efforts to transition programs from charter through commercialization Form and lead cross-functional new product development team in executing project objectives according to a written, approved performance agreement (Development review thru Market Launch) Work with partner groups to gain alignment & support to achieve project objectives Ensure projects are executed in compliance with regulatory requirements and Phase Review Discipline requirements Transfer product & manufacturing processes from to operations & marketing organizations at launch of project Capture & disseminate knowledge acquired during projects to improve S&N product development processes & systems Participate as a senior manager to improve environment & business systems of S&N Ensure that domestic & global market strategy, assumptions, business opportunities are measured & periodically reviewed throughout duration of project execution & initial product launch Lead cross-functional team in executing new product development performance agreement Develop comprehensive project plans Establish & assign team roles & responsibilities Provide direct and regular communication to senior management on progress, opportunities & issues Obtain resources from functional organizations, support groups & outside sources to ensure project success Continuously re-evaluate project to determine validity of concept assumptions Foster teamwork within team & between team & other groups Provide career development guidance Provide individual performance appraisals & compensation recommendations to management SCOPE OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: For funds, Costs or Profits: Authorized for approval of expenditures at the Manager level, as outlined by corporate policies. For Supervision: Leading one or multiple focused, cross-functional teams to execute new product acquisition or development projects in accordance with criteria specified in performance agreement between the team & marketing. The scope of the team\u2019s responsibility encompasses market & business analysis, product design or acquisition, manufacturing process design, market evaluation & market product launch. Meeting contract requirements that include: time to market, cost of goods, development costs, quality standards. For Organization Influence: Ability to multi-task in an environment of competing priorities. Successfully manages multiple programs and project teams simultaneously. Well rounded experience and understanding of all functions, including their interrelation and interdependencies. Understands responsibility to and actively advises management and customers on program status. Understands Senior Management expectations and is able to effectively communicate program information (status, risks, financials, etc) and respond to queries from Senior Management; demonstrated ability to present to large executive forums. Able to develop and apply plans and tactics that align with and support pre-defined strategies. Participates in the development and implementation of Program Management tools and best practices. Adapts to varying team dynamics and fosters cohesion; demonstrated ability to address under-performing team members \/ dysfunctional team dynamics. Proven track record of leading effective collaboration in complex group\/team environments. Actively mediates and encourages team discussion and debate. Gains cooperation and commitment from people through influence and indirect leadership. Actively seeks collaboration and builds relationships with internal customers and partners to improve overall outcomes. Actively listens to customers and uses their understanding of customer needs as the basis for decision making and organizational action. Drives and motivates cross functional teams towards successful and timely project completion. Builds effective teams, instilling a culture of accountability.
