Duties Of Position
REFEREE: Officiating is an area of expertise, which requires knowledge of the game and strategy of sports in order to control the behavioral responses of players, coaches, and spectators. Enforce the rules impartially and control the contest so that the players are afforded a positive game experience. The official will display self-confidence and a professional attitude and dress while officiating; Age 18 . SCOREKEEPERS (ASA I): Assists with the operation of the Basketball Leagues and Tournaments and know how to keep score and time. Must know the rules of High School Basketball; secure work days and game times with supervisor; be at the courts at least 10 minutes before the beginning game; make certain that the court(s) are clean and dust free before the first game and after the last game; 16 .

REFEREES: Pay Grade 82; $18.50/game; may work 10 to 12 hours/week primarily evenings and occasional weekends. SCOREKEEPERS: Pay Grade 70; $7.97/hour; may work 10 to 12 hours/week primarily evenings and occasional weekends.
