Job Summary: Assist with coaching intercollegiate Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country by instructing team concepts and position skills and promoting safety matters during practices and during competition; assist with organizing and conducting practice sessions. Encourage and promote excellence in academics and life-skills to student athletes. Must possess a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, counsel, and recruit academically qualified student-athletes. Abide by all UNC, ACC and NCAA regulations. Minimum Qualifications: Successful intercollegiate coaching experience and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred. Strong interpersonal communications skills, integrity, leadership, and a thorough knowledge of the sport are required. Demonstrated success in coaching the horizontal jumps and the pole vault. Secondary coaching duties assisting with sprints and hurdles for both men and women.Must possess a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, counsel, and recruit academically qualified student-athletes.Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree preferred. All degrees must be from fully accredited institutions.
