The role of the Performance Healthcare Athletic Trainer is to implement and support programs and services within the Sports Performance Center at The Star as well as externally via community events and relationships with municipalities and local school districts. Responsibilities include utilization of the Fusionetics Performance Healthcare platform, delivery of injury prevention services, and data collection/management. The Performance Healthcare Athletic Trainer is responsible for but not limited to working with the current high school staff to ensure comprehensive injury prevention techniques for all students. In addition, the Performance Healthcare Athletic Trainer will provide medical services for athletic events and practices (as needed] as defined by their scope of practice in the areas of prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation; and will be expected to professionally communicate in a diverse culture with students, student athletes, staff, doctors, other health professionals, and outside affiliations.
Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred;
Current State of Texas License; Board Certified in Athletic Training
2-5 years of experience preferred but entry level will be considered.
Current AED/CPR certification
Knowledge of Fusionetics Performance Healthcare System is preferred and priority will be given to those applicants who hold CES (NASM) and/or PES (NASM) specializations.
Demonstrates competence in athletic training and analytical skills
Maintain current knowledge in athletic training, performance healthcare, movement dysfunction, and corrective exercise
