The Department of Athletics of West Virginia Wesleyan College is currently accepting applications for Head Women's Soccer Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month appointment. Candidates should demonstrate soccer coaching success; excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills; possess a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes; and the ability to act as a mentor to all student-athletes of WVWC.
The Head Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for the direction and operation of all phases of a nationally competitive program in accordance with WVWC, the Mountain East Conference, and NCAA DII regulations. Position duties include, but are not limited to: recruiting; scheduling; individual instruction/player improvement; organizing and directing individual/small group practice activities involving instructing/teaching student-athletes in the rules, regulations and techniques of the sport; planning; coordinating community involvement; budget administration; fund-raising; monitoring academic performance; modeling professional behavior and maintaining appropriate conduct towards players, officials, spectators and colleagues; completing/submitting administrative and compliance documents and other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years of successful soccer coaching experience and a valid driver's license.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree, 3-5 years of successful soccer coaching experience and a valid driver's license.
