Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Business Development Specialist is responsible for the following areas: - Provides certified Athletic Training services to school as assigned - Proficiency in injury management, first aid and therapeutic exercises to promote recovery. - Educational resource for students, parents, and staff - Assists with clinical programs and high risk students. Supervises Athletic Trainer students Communicates with schools\u2019 Athletic Training department and staff. duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: \u2022 Graduate from an Athletic Trainer curriculum approved by the National Athletic Trainers Association, or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation, of the American Medical Association, or the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association. \u2022 Maintains BOC certification. \u2022 Licensed through the State of Michigan. \u2022 Must have a valid Michigan driver\u2019s license. Preferred: \u2022 One year of Athletic Training experience preferred. Position Specific Expectations: To provide a safe, healthy environment for our patients, employees and visitors, as of January 1, 2013 McLaren\u00a0Central will no longer hire individuals who use nicotine and will test for nicotine during the pre-employment process. Individuals whose health screening results are verified positive for tobacco\/nicotine use will be disqualified from employment, their job offer will be rescinded, and they will be disqualified from reapplying for employment for six (6) months from the date of the health screening.
