Crain’s Reports Layoffs Coming for Firms Including Walgreen’s and Sun …

Crain’s Chicago Business reports that nearly 1,200 layoffs throughout Illinois, including Walgreen’s, Kmart and Sun-Times Media from the possible Nine companies . Nearly 65 warehouse workers will be lay-off from Walgreen’s and 98 from Kmart, part of Hoffman Estates-based Sears Holdings Corporation. Sun-Times Mediawarns that 274 jobs in Glenview, Tinley Park and Aurora could be eliminated due to consolidation.
