Job Description:
The Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the delivery of athletic training services for varsity and select club sports. The Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the health and well-being of the student athletes.
Essential Functions:
Prevention, emergency care, first aid, evaluation, and rehabilitation of injuries to varsity and select club sport student athletes as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. On-site practice and contest medical coverage.
Assure proper documentation of medical injuries in an electronic medical records system following all HIPPA and FERPA policies. Effective communication with the Team Physician, LG/F&M Student Wellness Center and off campus Orthopedic Physicians.
Provides various administrative duties which may include Quality Assurance Coordinator, Health and Wellness Coordinator, Visiting team notification and medical kit management as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.
Consultant to the coaching staff on conditioning, nutrition, and protective equipment.

Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree is required
Minimum of 1 year experience of Athletic training is required
National Athletic Trainers Association, Board of Certification is required
Licensed, or eligible for licensing through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs is required.
Certification in CPR and AED, Basic Life Support or equivalent is required
Experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office is required
Experience using Electronic Medical Record Software is preferred
Ability to travel frequently is required
Ability to work weekends is required
A valid Drivers License is required
The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
Because this position requires driving for College business, the successful candidate must possess a U.S. or Canadian driver's license which has been valid for at least two years, have a driving record that is free from excessive motor vehicle violations within the last three years, and have had no convictions in the last 24 months for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Additional Information:
